De Blend Utrecht - a Pleasant Experience

Staff were friendly and informative, they left us to our own devices but we knew we could call on them if we needed something. Hotel was wonderfully quiet and the view was lovely. Bathroom was well stocked, and the kitchen was great for our stay, with clear instructions on how to use all of the facilities.

Bed was too firm, and pillows were too soft, made sleep a little uncomfortable, but not enough to hinder our stay. No tray in the kitchen made cooking a little awkward, but we managed with what was provided. There is a coffee factory across the road (literally) and so the area and room constantly smells of coffee, sometimes good, sometimes burnt. Such minor things all in all, but this is a testament to how grand our stay was.

Location, clean, quite & modern

The windows are shut and unable to be opened as they are secured with keys. It may be acceptable for two nights, but if it extends beyond that, especially for individuals with a fear of enclosed spaces, it could feel reminiscent of being in a Persian.

It has everything... you cab stay there for years !!!

The only thing i didnt like was the shower door. Every time i showered the bathroom floor was like a pool ... i Had to use the mop every time i used it ....

Wonderful

Lovely to have self catering facilities.

TV was a bit complicated. This could be improved. No local channels. You had to use your own subscription for apps like Netflix, but was difficult to get it to work properly. Not that we didn't know how to do it, it just didn't work the way it should have.

A good rest!

Very clean and comfortable apartment, located a bit outside the city but easily reachable by transports or by foot. Most useful amenities are present, and it is extremely quiet. Lots of possibilities for eating, washing machine, etc..

Small touches would have been appreciated, e.g. coffee, water (especially as it's difficult to find in the area). The self check in is surprising, but staff is available if needed.

Wonderful

There is bidet within the toilet which is a treasure for Muslims :) The facility is very clean and comfortable. It’s not in the city center but there is a bus stop nearby (7-10minutes to walk) or you can walk to the center which is half hour by walk.

There is a restaurant but breakfast option is not usual. If you inform they deliver a breakfast package to you. Maybe it’d be good if you can go and order something from the restaurant.

A comfortable stay in Utrecht!

The room is lovely and comfortable, kitchen was a great added bonus. Was clean and spacious. I also appreciated the coffee machine but was only provided with two coffee pods for a 3 night stay! Would have liked more :)

For the price I expected it to be closer to Utrecht centre, it’s a bus ride plus a walk which isn’t great. Also self check in and out was a bit strange, I can see the benefit but a little weird never seeing staff.

Pleasant stay and very quiet !Even though you done with yourself the check in it was a very nice and polite girl to help

It was very clean ! Beautiful view ! Modern facilities ! Very quite !

It was a bit cold and the air conditioning didn’t seem to work even when i am opening it! The spot near the bed didn’t open ! There is not something for breakfast or water at the building

Wonderful

Staff is always on site and at hand. Clear instructions. Clean and well organized. Beautiful view on the river if your room overlooks the river bank. Good bus connections.

No reception and no visible staff. Kitchen equipment is very essential, which may be an issue if you stay long. No fan in the bathroom. Closest food store at a distance of 15 minutes on foot.

Wonderful

The reception staff on our arrival were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome as well as being very helpful. The location was ideal for what we needed (a show nearby) and it's an easy 15 minute walk to Zuilen train station or even closer to the nearest bus stop for Utrecht Central. There is a restaurant in the same building which you can access from the ground floor and we had a really nice meal there before heading out. The room was immaculate, well equipped, and had a very comfy bed. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean Hotel that has vacancies and exists.

I liked the kitchen, the bed was comfortable and the staff was responsive.

The location if far from ideal or the price is to high for The location. The hotels hardware is beginning to show some cracks (e.g. noisy ac)
